Cottage Industry Records is een label voor lo-fi van Nederlandse bodem en representeert een komplimentaire mix van muzikale acts en beeldende kunstenaars. Beinvloed, uiteraard, door Harry Merry. Deze post-moderne creative club kan een paard in de gang zetten en je tegelijkertijd laten schommelen tussen kunst en kitsch. Extrapool geeft ze daarom carte blanche om een komplete avond te verzorgen. 5 Acts, 2 dj’s, kunst en gogo dansers!!

Vicky and Ron: waarom is niet elke band zoals Vicky & Ron? Zul je je afvragen nadat je ze hebt zien spelen, drummen, schreeuwen en poseren. Hun hit “i was born to...Fuck you.”

Saelors: pril duo Alexandra Duvekot en Thijs Havenshad hadden hun live-debuut op 9 mei jl. Met het minimale arangement zang, gitaar en een keyboardje, en onder de invloed van antony and the johnsons, weten ze iets te produceren dat veel spannender is dan de gemiddelde singer-songwriter.

Treehouse: band met voorman Yutaka Hoshino op de gitaar, dierengeluiden sampler en speelgoed instrumenten. Hun meest recente album nature delay is door cottage industry uitgebracht op cassette. De eenvoudige en aanstekelijke melodieën en reperterende gitaren doen denken aan die van múm.

Sina Turner: de zelfbenoemde “ayatollah of rock ‘n rollah” schrijft nummers o.a. Tegen anti-amerikanisme. Sina Turner is Sina Khani’s pseudoniem die hij gebruikt om comfortabeler op te treden als een idiote muzikant. Zijn genre ‘rhytme on booze’.

Anonymeye: uit Brisbane Australie is een van de vele namen op het zxzw festival dit jaar. Sluit aan bij cottage industry om de avond kompleet te maken. Zijn aangename electro-akoestische country muziek is verassend. Heldere folk op akoestische gitaar vergezeld met digitale signaal processoren.

COTTAGE INDUSTRY RECORDS is an umbrella for Lo-Fi from Dutch soil. The label represents a complimentarily eclectic mix of musical acts and visual-artists. Influenced, ofcourse, by Harry Merry, this post-modern club can make a party start and in the same time act like an intressting see-saw for high- and low-art. Extrapool gives them carte blanche to make a great evening with music, art and gogo dancers.

VICKY AND RON: Why can't all bands be like VICKY AND RON? You'll ask yourself after seeing this duo play, drum, shout and pose "I Was Born To..".

SAELORS: Alexandra Duvekot en Thijs Havenshad made their live-debut on May 9th this year. With the minimal of arangement, vocals, guitar and a small keyboard and under the influence of Antony and the Johnsons, they produce something much more exciting than the average singer-songwriter.

Treehouse: Band fronted by Yutaka Hoshino with guitar, animal sampler and toy instruments.Their most recent album Nature Delay has been released by Cottage Industry on cassette-tape. Simple and enchanting melodies with repeatative guitar strumming.

SINA TURNER: Sina Turner is Sina Khani's pseudonym he uses in order to perform more comfortably as a stupid musician. His genre is called "R on B" (Rhythm on Booze). To put things in perspective, this self-claimed "Ayatollah of Rock 'n Rollah" wrote a song against anti-americanisme.

ANONYMEYE: Anonymey from Brisbane, Australia is one of the many names on this years ZXZW festival. Joins Cottage Industry to make the evening complete. His pleasant electro-accoustic country(!) music is something new. Acoustic folk guitar with digital signal processing.
